This attractive semi-detached house built in the 1930’s has very well proportioned rooms throughout with the exception of the kitchen. The main issue concerning the clients was the rear of the house facing north, with no direct sunlight entering their kitchen or dining area. They approached us to see if we could improve the quality of light in these rooms. The resultant design incorporates a clerestory element above the new kitchen to allow morning sunlight enter the back of the house.
